The Pedal Electric x GrlSwirl matchup was a blast for our community and theirs. Hosting GrlSwirl in our home at Venice beach for one of their notorious group skates resulted in a lot of dancing, a lot of laughs and plenty of good times.
Partnering with local brands and people like these helps us foster an even greater community to help us not only elevate ourselves but those that live and work around us.
GrlSwirl is… “an all-women team that comes from all walks of life and hopes to show that you don’t have to be a certain type of person to get on a skateboard. They inspire people to conquer their fears and insecurities through the simple act of trying something new.” The ethos of GrlSwirl epitomizes what Venice is all about, and they’ve spread this ethos and culture all across the world. Meshing our community with theirs was one of our favorite community events we’ve hosted.
Creating great bikes is our main goal, but passing on the culture of Venice Beach, and building local communities of riders like our friends at GrlSwirl is just as important. The laid back, yet focused and determined women of GrlSwirl have created an incredibly supportive and charitable community rooted in skateboarding and social engagement. This lines up perfectly with our mission to create a product with zero emissions and a completely off-set carbon footprint.
