Ranging from $750 to $14,000 or more, the industry is saturated with a tremendous amount of models and options for all financial price points. Accessibility and sustainability go hand in hand in our eyes. So let’s break down the average cost of an electric bike. 

Classes of e-bikes 

  1. This class is your go to option for general cruising and riding. The cost will on average be anywhere from $600 to $1000. You can expect a  premium battery and motor.

  2. Second class has more functionality around pedal assist with the integration of throttles. These will on average range from $1100 to $2600

  3. Third class goes the fastest, up to 28 mph and ranging from $1600 to $4,000

Off-roading models also are specifically designed with added strength and durability for rougher terrains. This e-bike price can range anywhere from $2000 to $5000 because they are made of heavy high quality materials and high electric parts.

Other Factors 

Outside the initial price tag amount, other expenses and costs to consider include maintenance, charging, extras like helmets, locks and other accessories. But when you break it down and look at the overall price, the cost of an electric bike will always be cheaper and more sustainable than a car!
