I've had my AWD III for 3 months now and I can't recommend it enough. I moved to Santa Monica without a car and was using rentable e-bikes to navigate the city every day which were unreliable and expensive. I did the math on buying an e-bike and it made sense - especially given how expensive Uber and Lyft have become. The bike has been a godsend. It's sturdy - I'm not worried about any pothole or sewer grates I drive over. Even at full speed, the suspension minimizes the impact of craters in the road. And the speed of the bike is the most impressive of any bike I've seen. I feel comfortable riding on the main roads around town with the flow of traffic when I'm in all-wheel drive. And I feel safe riding at that speed because the brakes feel very responsive and reliable. I can fit a passenger on the back which has been great for going to the beach on the weekends. And the bike just looks super cool. I get asked at least once a week about my bike by someone walking by. I've been told that it's the first e-bike they've seen that actually looks like a real motorcycle. The only negative I've encountered has been that it's too heavy for me to get up the stairs into my apartment so I have to chain it in my garage. But that's to be expected with an e-bike and it isn't too much of a concern because the bike has locks built into the handles and there's an alarm that triggers if someone moves it. So the weight isn't really too much of an issue in the end. All things considered, this is…Speed & PerformanceRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Ride ComfortabilityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Bike QualityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5

I now have the AWD 3 after having my Pro stolen. (Pro is like CORE but with one 1000w motor and 1080w battery, plus pegs rack and fenders)
The AWD3 has shorter, adjustable handle bars which can be tilted back for a more sporty feel.
AWD3 feels significantly heavier and more dense than the Pro (in a luxurious way), partially due to the added front motor, but also due to the puncture resistant tires, and minor frame-redesign (hence no more stock cup-holder :( ). Also the foot pedals seem to ride lower on the AWD3 and i'm 6ft and still think its noticeably low - some owners have swapped in shorter shocks.
The AWD3 has great, smooth, silent, sport style breaks that are like butter. The pro had great breaks too but I think the AWD3 has more ergonomic nice handles. The headlight and turn signal implementation is a nice improvement, as well as the front wheel lock. I never see this mentioned but the bike also comes with 2 remote fobs for the battery. Not entirely sure how it works but I think the battery has to be switched on to be 'unlocked' by fob at least.
I also want to shout out the new foot pegs flip up, I have so many shin bruises from the old pegs.
Ok before I get to the main topic of motors, some complaints - They swapped the 7 speed for a "Lighter 3 speed with an ergonomic gear switch". I find the gear switch to be awkward and the 3 speed leaves a lot to be desired. I'll admit I hardly relied on the pedaling when using the Pro, but they also …Speed & PerformanceRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Ride ComfortabilityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Bike QualityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5

I had a foldilock compact on my Pro and it was cut through, with the bike getting stollen. Thankfully I had property theft insurance and am using the coverage toward a new AWD III. I couldn't be more happy with Pedal. Its the best e-bike for a 2nd passenger, and with a max load weight of 350lbs - 2 people can hop on and still have room for groceries in a bag or basket. Its my main transportation in Seattle, and the savings from not taking uber or lime bikes pays for the Pedal overtime. I've even made some side-cash using the pedal to deliver uber eats - faster than any cyclist I see on the road.Speed & PerformanceRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Ride ComfortabilityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5Bike QualityRated 5.0 on a scale of 1 to 5

Not being able to see this bike in person I decided to take the gamble and hope this third gen addressed the issues mentioned in reviews of gen 2. I'm glad I took the gamble, because this bike is a mini beast.
This thing rips up SF hills on dual motor no problem. Stock tires very sturdy, more like motorcycle tires. handles harsh urban roads no problem. Dual motor and full power I can get 32 mph flat. I got 36 down hill, could have pushed it but didn't. 32 flat is a good top speed for this thing in a city. . stock battery with hilly sf riding and moderate throttle gets about 15-20 miles. I just added a second battery, get 40+mile range while using heavy-ish throttle. great bike, would buy again.
